USA-NKF ANNOUNCES WEB CASTING OF USA NATIONAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN FT. LAUDERDALE, FL
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, JUNE 4, 2009:
USA National Karate-do Federation announced today that they have reached an agreement with Royster Productions to film and broadcast the eliminations and finals of the US Team Trials to be held as part of the USA National Karate Championships in Ft. Lauderdale, FL July 17-19. The event will be held at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center. In addition, Asian World of Martial Arts (AWMA) has signed on to become a presenting sponsor of the event as part of this agreement.
The USA Team arrived in Curacao this week to begin training and getting ready for the 2009 Senior Pan American Karate Championships. Team leader Tokey Hill was noted saying, "The team is in great spirits and we are looking for great results from this delegation! We start at 10 am Thursday!"
We will keep in contact with the team and post results and photos of the team's progress in Curacao. Please check back often.

OLYMPIC COACHING SYMPOSIUM
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – MAY 3, 2009:
USANKF National Coach Dustin Baldis recently attended the 3rd Annual Training Design Symposium hosted by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) at the Colorado Springs US Olympic Training Center. Baldis, was the only Karate coach in attendance at the event, which focused on the development of training programs for elite athletes.
Baldis, who himself was a previous international medalist with the USA National Team, has become one of the top US Karate coaches in a very short time. As a USA-NKF National Coach, Baldis is charged with coordinating training methods for the US Senior and Junior National Karate Teams, as well as traveling both nationally and internationally to various international karate events. Baldis hosts an annual USA Elite Sport Karate Training Camp for athlete development (Click Here for Details)
The USA Open, Caesars Palace and Las Vegas were once again a winning combination!
Competition began Friday with the International Junior Olympics and Masters Championships. The venue was packed with karateka, many of whom had traveled great distance to Las Vegas for this world-class event. There were 35 countries in attendance compared to 22 last years with more than 1350 competitors. Surprisingly during a down economy this event saw a 10 percent growth.
