Personal
I have 2 little brothers, Noah who is 8 and a 2x National Champion and Isaiah who is 5....This is actually my first time making the Team. Yay! I tried out last year and fell short in the semi-finals losing by Senshu, But I made first alternate last year....I just LOVE competing! I love the adrenaline I get right before I step onto the mat, I love seeing all my hard work show up on the mat! I also love to see all my friends from all over that I only see at competitions!...My hobbies include reading, running and watching movies. Also, does texting count?...All the athletes that I look up to are my inspiration! There are too many too list! But a few are Joane Orbon, Jenna Brown, Shannon Nishi-Patton, Eimi Kurita, Lucie Ignace, Iryna Zaretska, Alexandra Recchia and last but not the least, the 5x World Champion, Rafael Aghayeb...I would say 2018 US Nationals and Team Trials was my biggest win so far! Because of a couple of reasons, first because of the countless hours I have put in training and preparation leading up to it. Second, it was my first time making the US Team as the top seed in my division competing in finals on Sunday night on the big stage!!! And to top it all of, I took GOLD!...My dad is my real life hero! He has helped me so much throughout my karate journey. He learned karate for me because I took interest in it. He has spent countless hours training me, reviewing my fights and helping me find my mistakes. Even when he is tired he still lets me practice my double leg sweeps on him! lol! He is just overall an AMAZING dad and coach!...“Though she be but little, she is fierce!” -William Shakespeare
